"Immediately following this class, I worked a sales campaign and won my biggest deal since joining PTC – and closed with my best quarter. Last quarter, I again did my biggest deal to date! The cornerstone of this sales campaign was a presentation to the management team. I am a strong believer in this training - the best 2 days I could imagine spending in class. I really appreciate the excellent coaching helping me interacting more effectively with customers."

Art of E-mail: Mastering Effective and Professional E-mail Communication

Communicating with colleagues, vendors or customers using e-mail requires the ability to confidently write straight-forward, succinct and readily understandable messages. E-mail usually doesn't conform to the strict style and formality principles that have guided written business communications for decades, which can sometimes result in problems of misunderstanding, bruised feelings or worse. E-mail writers need basic writing skills, but also need to understand issues of sensitivity, privacy and security that come with electronic communications.

The Henderson Group offers an intensive Business E-mail Workshop that helps participants communicate accurately and succinctly using e-mail while avoiding the missteps and problems that can sometimes occur.

The results of this work

  • Organize and compose an effective and clear e-mail message
  • Summarize results or clearly identify action items
  • Present a professional image
  • Avoid misunderstandings
  • Compel recipients through attention grabbing headers to open their email.

Specific skills participants will master:

  • Crafting a message strategy before starting to write
  • Propelling prospects and customers to respond to "cold" emails
  • Writing to be understood
  • Editing for clarity and content
  • Identifying and avoiding common writing mistakes
  • Employing proven and effective phrases and sentences for standard situations
  • Writing for sensitive situations
  • Leveraging electronic tools for spelling and grammar

Delivery: Customized formats, including workshops, coaching and consulting.
